College Church Wedding Day

What a joy it was to celebrate Lindsay and Jeff’s wedding day in Wheaton! 

After meeting Lindsay and Jeff and photographing their engagement session last spring, I knew their wedding day would be amazing! From the moment I arrived, I could feel the warmth of the day, not just in the summer weather, but in the hearts of everyone surrounding these two. Thankfully, the beautiful Wheaton College campus across the street provided plenty of shade and gorgeous backdrops for photos, giving us a perfect mix of light, greenery, and architecture.

Lindsay and Jeff’s wedding was full of intentional, Christ-centered moments. Lindsay shared a quiet, prayerful time with her bridesmaids before the ceremony, and their service was made even more special with worship sung and played by some of their close friends. Having spent years working at College Church, it was so fitting that Lindsay said “I do” in their beautiful chapel.

Throughout the day, you could just feel the love in the room. Lindsay and her dad shared some sweet, tearful moments together before the ceremony and as she walked down the aisle, making for one of those behind-the-camera moments that brought me to tears too. After the ceremony, we headed to the Church of the Resurrection event space for the reception. 

This wedding was full of playful, heartfelt touches. Lindsay and Jeff absolutely adore their nieces and nephews, who were a part of the wedding party. During the reception, they even surprised them with individual birthday cakes because they would miss a few birthdays while on their honeymoon. The sweetest! The father-daughter first dance had me tearing up behind the camera, and the dance floor was packed all night long!

One of the things that stands out most about Lindsay and Jeff is how much their family and friends love being around them. They are the kind of people you want to be friends with, hang out with, and celebrate with! Their loved ones reflected that same joy, and it made the day feel so special!

Lindsay and Jeff, it was an honor to capture your Wheaton, Illinois wedding day. From the laughter and happy tears to the dancing and all the little moments in between, this day was such a perfect reflection of who you are together. As you begin this new chapter, I can’t wait to see the adventures that come next in your story.
