St. James Farm Engagement

Warrenville, Illinois

Late spring at St. James Farm in Warrenville made the perfect backdrop for Lindsay and Jeff’s engagement session. The light was beautiful, and it felt like we had the whole place to ourselves as we explored together. I loved getting to know these two better during their session and hearing more of their story!

Lindsay and Jeff first connected on the dating app Coffee Meets Bagel. From there, their relationship grew into something so sweet and strong. What I quickly learned about them is how much they love people and how deeply they serve. Jeff has a background in musical worship, Lindsay invests her time mentoring youth group girls, and together they pursue Jesus with such intentionality. They enjoy exploring new places, they have dreams of traveling together, and they love spending time with their families and friends. That mix of adventure and grounded faith makes their love such a joy to witness!

Their proposal story is one I adore. In November 2024, Jeff planned a day that seemed perfectly ordinary to Lindsay, which is exactly what made it so special. They went to her favorite spot for lunch in downtown Wheaton and then took a walk, something they often do. Because they had already looked at rings the month before, Lindsay had been suspicious in the weeks leading up to this, but that day she let her guard down. She even texted her sisters and roommate to say, “It’s not happening today.” Famous last words!

Their walk took them to Adams Park, a spot that holds sweet memories of good conversations. As they sat and talked, Jeff proposed. To top it all off, he surprised Lindsay with an engagement party at her sister’s house, oh my heart! The surprises kept coming as their closest friends and family were waiting to celebrate. The whole day was thoughtful, personal, and full of joy. I just love that!

During their engagement session, I could see so much of that joy reflected in the way Lindsay and Jeff interact with one another. They laugh easily, they’re grounded in their faith, and they radiate kindness. I know their wedding will be such a celebration of not only their love but also the love of the community that surrounds them.
