Mistwood Golf Club Wedding

Kira & Mikey’s Mistwood Golf Club wedding was full of rain, rain, and more rain. But what a wonderful, beautiful day it was in spite of the dreary skies. They say rain on your wedding day is good luck, right? If that’s true, these two are in for a full, beautiful life together.

I met Kira & Mikey at their engagement session last spring. They brought their pup, Ruby, who is just adorable. Their session will forever be a favorite of mine.

On their wedding day, I arrived at the hotel where Kira was getting ready with her girls . . . and Ruby. They were having fun making TikToks while I got started with all of Kira’s amazing details. I love it when a bride is organized, and Kira wins the prize for most organized bride. You should have seen her emergency kit!

Once the girls were all ready, we headed over to the venue for Kira to get into her dress and for photos pre-ceremony. It was pouring most of the day, but we managed to jump outside for a few minutes when it let up for photos. I loved Kira & Mikey’s wedding party. They were all so fun and willing to get a little wet for the bride and groom to get some great photos. Thankfully, I had my bucket of umbrellas to keep them mostly dry.

The ceremony was officiated by Mikey’s aunt. Preceding Kira down the aisle was the wedding party, sweet Ruby, and the most adorable ring bearers and flower girls ever!

During the reception, the speeches were sweet and funny with perhaps some things being revealed to the couples’ parents that hadn’t previously been discovered. I have some great photos of the reactions of the newlyweds during the speeches. Once the dance floor opened, you can tell the guests came to party! It was so fun capturing all of the fun on the dance floor as Kira went around capturing pictures of guests in sunglasses on her phone.

Kira and Mikey, I hope you always look back on this day with joy and love. I can’t wait to capture you guys again soon!
