Kira & Mikey’s Kankakee engagement session was one of my favorite sessions to date. The pretty light was amazing and we got so many photos that I really had to cut down on what I wanted to share here so this blog didn’t end up being too long.
We started out at Perry Farm with their toy Aussie, Ruby, for some casual photos, and ended on the ONU campus for some dressier, more formal photos. Late spring is my favorite time of year there with the blossoming trees.
According to Kira, these two met in Kindergarten . . . although Mikey doesn’t quite remember that. He moved schools, but came back around their senior year and they started dating. They dated for six years before Mikey proposed (on Kira’s birthday) at a party at their brand new house.
Kira loves shopping, sour candy, her dog and cat, and the beach. Mikey likes mint chocolate, Busch light, and is the reason I now know anything about mantis shrimp (thank you Google).
Together, they love playing poker and other card games, hanging with their friends, binge-watching shows, ordering in food or going out to eat, and all of the Marvel movies . . . especially the Avenger movies.
Kira & Mikey, I can’t wait for your wedding coming up so soon. It’s going to be a beautiful day!
