Valerie and Ethan’s story is full of laughter, love, and a shared passion for golf. These two first met in high school, but their connection truly blossomed after college when Valerie was working at the local golf course and Ethan was a member. Their early dates? Golfing, of course! And it only felt right that their wedding would take place on a course as well.
For their engagement session, we headed to Cantigny Park for a beautiful morning of photos. These two are so naturally playful, and it showed in every moment we captured. At one point, Valerie smacked Ethan on the forehead without warning because a bug landed on him. We also had a hilarious mishap when the champagne in their bag popped unexpectedly while we were waiting for a family to pass by. It was a fun reminder that sometimes, the most memorable moments are truly the imperfect ones!
Their proposal was just as perfectly them. In October 2024, during a weekend getaway at Devil’s Lake in Wisconsin between Valerie’s birthday and their anniversary, Ethan proposed during a hike. They got up early, stopped to enjoy breakfast, and started their hike. At the iconic Balancing Rock, Valerie was taking in the lake and the changing fall colors when she turned around to see Ethan down on one knee. It was a moment full of joy, surprise, and the kind of love that makes your heart swell.
Valerie and Ethan’s engagement session at Cantigny Park truly captured their personalities, and I love that I could capture it! I can’t wait to celebrate their wedding day!
