Veteran Acres Park Engagement

Joe and Emma’s spring engagement session at Veteran Acres Park was such a beautiful day . . . much warmer than their frigid winter session. While they opted to do a quick session last winter for their save-the-date photos, this session was much more relaxed and enjoyable.

The pathway around the pond at Veteran Acres has mature, beautiful trees, a couple of cute bridges, and my personal favorite, weeping willows! This was my first time photographing an engagement session, but I’ll be adding it to my list for couples in that area. It was well kept, peaceful, and the cicadas respectfully stayed away from us. If you aren’t in the midwest, you might not understand the cicada invasion we are having right now with two different broods emerging upon us this spring/summer. It’s wild, and very noisy in some areas.

Emma and Joe, I had so much fun photographing these for you and can’t wait for your wedding day this fall.
