The Landing at 1841 Farms & Vineyard

Marla and Justin’s The Landing at 1841 Farms wedding was the perfect celebrate of two of the sweetest people. These two love being outdoors fishing and hunting, so it was fitting that their wedding was at this beautiful venue along the river and woods. While the threat of rain did move their ceremony indoors, it held off long enough for us to get all of their photos outside.

This venue is unique in that it has different houses or building for the girls to get ready and the guys to get ready, which also being separate from the chapel and reception spaces. Marla and the rest of her bridal party had a beautiful, spacious house to spread out and enjoy the beginning of the day. When I arrived, hair and makeup was in full force, and everyone was happy and calm.

When Marla had her hair and makeup ready, she slipped into her dress with the help of her sweet mom. This is always one of my favorite parts of the day, maybe because I think about doing it with my own girls when they get married someday. Marla then did a first look with her dad and bridesmaids, which both resulted in such sweet tears before heading outside for a first look with Justin.

We were able to complete most of the rest of the photos before the ceremony that was held in the quaint chapel on site. I love that this venue has such a pretty option indoors in case of bad weather. It’s right next to the reception space which is great for guests in inclement weather as well. After the ceremony we were able to get away to the vineyard for a few more photos of the newlyweds before joining the cocktail hour and reception.

Marla and Justin, it was such a joy for me to photograph your special day and meeting all of your favorite people. I can’t wait to photograph the two of you as the years go by. Best wishes!
