Hoosier Grove Barn Wedding

Collin and Jessica’s Hoosier Grove Barn wedding day was a beautiful fall day. This couple is sweet, silly, fun, and has the best friends and family a couple could as for.

I first met Jessica at Elizabeth and Will’s wedding earlier this year, and was so excited when they reached out for me to photograph their wedding day. I got to meet Collin at their engagement session, and I had so much fun getting to know the two of them as a couple.

Once I arrived at the barn and photographed some details and Jessica getting into her dress with the help of her mom, we headed outside for some very special first looks. First up was Jessica with her dad, which had me hiding behind my camera with tears in my eyes. Jessica is the only girl in a house with three brothers, and you can certainly tell that she and her dad have a special bond. Jessica then did a first look with her brothers before the first look with Collin. When Collin saw Jessica for the first time on their wedding day, both of them were fighting back tears. They followed the first look by reading vows to each other privately.

Once the first looks were complete, we did most of the wedding party photos. It did not surprise me one bit when Jessica pointed to the nearby playground and said she wanted to do some photos on the swings. I love that about this couple! We finished up with some family photos before tucking everyone away as guests started to arrive.

Collin & Jessica’s wedding ceremony was held outdoors at Hoosier Grove Barn. It was a beautiful ceremony that included worship and a rope braiding to signify the strength of “a cord of three strands”.

During the reception, I snuck the newlyweds out for some golden hour photos. These almost always end up being the favorites of the day. There’s just no match for that soft, glowy light and a couple in their first couple of hours of being husband and wife.

Jessica and Collin, I wish you all the best in your life and marriage. I pray your love continues to grow you closer to one another and the Lord, and that your love spills over to everyone around you. Thank you for giving me the honor of being your wedding photographer.
