Kayla & Scottie’s Acquaviva Winery wedding was a beautiful fall celebration filled with the sweetest people and such beautiful details. From the start of the day at Kayla’s mom’s house to the church and ending at the beautiful venue, it was a perfect day.

I started the day with Kayla and her girls at her mom’s house in Chicago. Everyone was getting ready by the fabulous hair and makeup team, and I got to work on taking some photos of Kayla’s details. Kayla and Scottie exchanged gifts and letters to each other that they read privately, which is always such a sweet way to start the day. Kayla got into her beautiful dress with the help of her mom, and then did a little reveal to her bridesmaids, followed by a quick first look with her dad.

Then it was time to head to the church for the ceremony. St Juliana is a historic Catholic Church in the Edison Park neighborhood, and such a stunning church for a wedding. Kayla & Scottie were married surrounded by their family and friends and then headed off to Acquaviva Winery for their reception.

The winery and vineyard makes a perfect backdrop for wedding photos any time of year, so we took all of their wedding party photos and bride and groom photos at the vineyard across the street from the winery. While it was a bit windy and the clouds threatened rain, it ended up being beautiful. We even caught some fall colors in the trees at the back of the vineyard.

After photos, we headed back inside for the reception. Kayla & Scottie’s parent’s all made small speeches, as well as the best man and maid of honor. After a lot of laughs, it was time for dinner and dancing the night away.
