Wigwam Arizona Wedding

Phoenix, Arizona

Sarah and Caleb had originally planned for a wedding in their home state of Illinois, but when they visited Arizona earlier in the year, they new that they wanted their wedding to be in The Grand Canyon State. Their Wigwam Arizona wedding was absolutely beautiful.

There’s something so special about destination wedding. They are typically much more relaxed and less stressful once you get there. While the planning may be a bit tricky when doing it from another state, it ends up being so laid back for the actual wedding day.

Sarah and Caleb chose not to have a wedding party, and instead just invite all of their closest friends to enjoy the week with them in sunny Arizona. When I arrived at the Wigwam, I was in awe of the beautiful grounds and buildings around the resort. I got settled and then met up with Sarah, Caleb and their on site coordinator to walk through the ceremony, reception, and photo locations.

On the day of the wedding, I went to Sarah’s getting ready room where she was hanging out with her sweet friends. Everyone was so calm and having fun watching Sarah become a bride. Caleb and his guys were getting ready on the other side of the resort, so after taking some photos of Sarah, I headed over to get some pictures with Caleb and his dad. Then, it was ceremony time.

Caleb & Sarah were married by their good friend, Mark at the Trellis Garden at the resort. It was such a perfect location for their intimate ceremony, and the weather was amazing and the evening glow was a photographer’s dream.

Following the ceremony, guests made their way to the Litchfield Lawn for cocktail hour while I took the newlyweds around for photos. There are so many places to take pictures there, all just as beautiful as the last. I could have taken pictures of them for hours, but I let them get back to their cocktail hour with their friends and family. 🙂
