Joanna and Mike’s Naples, Florida wedding at St William Catholic Church was simply stunning. The gorgeous church was the perfect backdrop for most of their photos and I could have kept them there for hours because these two are naturals in front of the camera.

I first met Joanna and Mike when I photographed their engagement photos in Fort Myers last year. They answered a model call that I put out on Facebook and I’m so glad they did. We had so much fun walking around downtown getting to know each other. When they booked their wedding with me, I did a little happy dance because I knew it would be such a great experience to work with them.

I met Joanna and her bridesmaids at the hotel where they were getting ready the day of the wedding. We got a few photos prior to Joanna getting into her dress. The girls and their matching pajamas were so fun! I love that they will be able to wear them throughout the year and remember this special day. When Joanna got into her dress, it was just her sisters helping her. When her bridesmaids got to see her for the first time in her dress, the emotions were high! I love seeing how much love the bridesmaids have for the bride.

Mike was getting ready at the same hotel, so I was able to get a few quick photos of him getting ready with his guys. His mom popped in for a short time as well. I don’t always get much of a chance to photograph the mom of the groom, so I love when she is present during this part of the day.

Once everyone was ready, we headed to the gorgeous church for their ceremony. We had some time to get the groomsmen photos before the ceremony. These guys have the model walk down just perfectly. They were so fun!

After we wrapped up the groom and groomsmen photos, it was ceremony time! Joanna’s cathedral veil made such a dramatic entrance as she walked down the aisle with her dad. Mike hadn’t seen her prior to the ceremony and was definitely holding back tears as he watched her approach him. As the priest performed the ceremony, I was enjoying watching Joanna and Mike look at each other in anticipation. I also enjoyed watching their family and friends as they said their vows and exchanged rings.

They couple celebrated with a reception following the ceremony at the banquet center at Etudes de Ballet, just down the road from the church. I was able to steal them out for a few more portraits at the venue and while we didn’t get much “golden hour” glow, we did get some beautiful photos.
