I met Victoria and Aurélien downtown a few weeks ago for their Lincoln Park Nature Boardwalk engagement session. Because they love the nature boardwalk, we decided that would be the perfect spot for their Chicago engagement session. This couple is moving to Paris, France next fall so they were very excited to capture some photos in Chicago while they are still here.

How They Met

Victoria and Aurélien met five years ago at a house party in Wrigleyville. He was an international student when they met and then got a job here after grad school. A couple of years later, they moved in together, living here in Chicago and visiting Aurélien’s family in France for Christmas and the new year

How He Proposed

Victoria explains that Aurélien proposed while they were on an epic 2 1/2 week trip to France this past summer, where they visited Paris, Ile de Re’ and road tripped around the south of France. During a photo shoot in the lavender fields of Provence, Aurélien proposed! How dreamy is that?!

What They Like to Do

Victoria and Aurélien love the beach, walking along the riverwalk, and the Lincoln Park Nature Boardwalk. He likes to surprise her with fancy date nights and she to plan fun new experiences for them to try together.

Their Wedding Plans

After they move to France in early 2020, they will begin planning their wedding at some beautiful location in France.
