Maci & Jake met me in downtown Champaign, Illinois for their engagement photographs. We had such a great time just walking around getting to know one another. Jake wasn’t super excited about an hour or two of pictures, but once he warmed up and relaxed I think he had a good time. I absolutely love how these two laugh together and how Maci lights up when he snuggled into her. Maci loves weeping willow trees, so we were super excited to find one at the University of Illinois Arboretum at the end of their session.

Maci & Jake met about eleven years ago through a mutual friend in Jake’s hometown of Rossville. Maci says, “She introduced us and the rest is history.” One night while Maci was working, Jake came in with a teddy bear. When he told her it played music, Maci tried to get the music to play. Jake mentioned it may need batteries and when she opened up the back of the teddy bear, she found a ring box! How adorable is that?!

They love going on dinner dates when they get some time to go out alone. Maci says they also love driving around in the country, going to concerts, going on short get-aways, shooting pool, and spending time with family and friends. I think they sound like a fun couple to be around, don’t you?

When asked what they are most excited about on their wedding day, she says the suspense of it all and seeing each other for the first time on their wedding day.
