Simple Ways to Love Your Wedding Vendors

Being a wedding vendor is one of the best jobs I can imagine. We get to work with couples on one of the most memorable days of their lives, the beginning of their new married life. Wedding days are hard work, but being a part of making the day beautiful is such an honor. I have worked with the most amazing couples and they are so great at doing a few simple things that lets me know they loved working with me. While I have gotten some amazing thank you gifts from my couples, there are some wonderful ways that you can do this without spending any money.

If you have amazing vendors on your wedding day and want to let them know how much you appreciate them, here are a few easy tips!

  1. Leave them a rave review! Most vendors have a Facebook page with an option to leave reviews. You don’t have to leave a novel, but leaving a 5-star review and a couple of sentences about how they went above and beyond on your day is worth so much and takes just a couple of minutes. If they don’t have a Facebook page or have the reviews section turned off, sending an email to your vendors with a little paragraph that they can share on their website or on social media works, too!
  2. Share your wedding photos and credit the vendors! You probably already know that you should tag your photographer every time you share images from the wedding day, but it’s also a great idea to tag other vendors that were a part of the day or that particular image. For example, if you share a photo of the two of you and you are holding your bouquet, you can tag your florist, the shop where you purchased your dress, your hair and makeup artist, etc.
  3. Like and comment on photos they share of the day. When you see photos from your wedding day pop up in your feed, like them and give them a little comment. Seeing our couples comment makes us so happy! 🙂
  4. Share and comment on the blog post! Most photographers will create a blog post with some of the best photos of the day. They may also link to your other vendors in that post. So, sharing that blog post with friends, family and on social media is a great way to let people know who helped make your day great!
  5. REFER them! The biggest way to thank your vendors is to refer them to your friends! My business thrives on the referrals of past clients (turned friends), so this is the absolute best way to say thanks! Chances are, if I loved working with you, I will love your friends, too! 🙂 Also, don’t be afraid to refer your vendors to out-of-state friends and family, or even those having elopements or destination weddings. Not all vendors travel, but this one does! 🙂
