Evan and Jessica have known each other most of their lives. They grew up going to school together in a small town in East Central Illinois and lived a hop, skip and a jump away from one another. This couple is extra special to me because Jess is my first cousin. I can literally say that I  have know her all her life. I was honored that they chose me to capture their engagement pictures and their upcoming wedding. When Jess and I met last year about their engagement and wedding session, she had already come up with a plan for where the engagement session should take place and what kind of clothes they would wear. She also wanted to get in some great sunset shots if at all possible. I think she did a great job, and the weather did not disappoint.

I met Evan & Jessica on this gorgeous fall day at the home where Jessica grew up. What a beautiful place to begin our session, along the river in glorious golden hour light. Even though we had to fight the pesky mosquitos, we could not have asked for a better evening. Jessica’s dad helped us out by bringing out his John Deere tractor and giving us some fun ideas. I always love when the parents get involved. ♥

From there we moved on to Evan’s grandpa’s farm, where the corn and cows graced us with their presence. I could have hung out with these two for so much longer, but I think they were ready to have my camera out of their faces. Just before leaving, we turned around and were greeted with the most beautiful sunset. I just love these images! And, Evan and Jessica, I cannot wait to capture your wedding in August!
