If you read about Livia’s summer senior session on the blog, you already know it was a total dream. All the flowers, the sunshine, and the sweetest light at Proclamation Flowers. It was a beautiful summer night!
But one of my favorite things about senior sessions is that they do not have to fit into just one season or one setting.
Livia is involved in so many things, from sports to dance to school activities, but her fall session was extra special. This time, we traded flower fields for wide open skies, barns, and the heart of her family farm. This session was all about FFA, her hard work, and the countless hours she’s poured into raising and showing her family’s pigs. And let me tell you, it was perfect!
We had one of those classic Midwest fall evenings. Windy. A little chilly. But the gorgeous fall light? Totally worth it. The kind of warm, glowy sunset that makes everything look magical. The fields were starting to turn, the trees were shifting colors, and there is just something about fall on a farm that feels special.
Fall is one of the most popular seasons for senior photos for a reason. The fall light, the changing trees, the falling leaves… Outfits with layers and cozy textures photograph beautifully.
For Livia, fall was the perfect way to tell the rest of her story. I love that when you look at Livia’s summer and fall sessions side by side, you see two beautiful, completely different sides of the same senior. One full of flowers and sunshine. One rooted in her family farm and legacy.
That is the beauty of how I approach senior photos. It’s never a one-size-fits-all approach. It’s about celebrating who you are in every season.
And if fall senior photos are calling your name, my biggest piece of advice is this: Book early. Peak fall color is short and sweet, and those golden October evenings fill up quickly on my calendar! If you are dreaming of warm light, changing trees, and photos that feel like fall, planning (and booking!) ahead is key.
Livia’s fall farm session was one for the books. I loved celebrating a senior who has worked so hard for everything she has accomplished. Truly the best way to wrap up her senior photos in front of my camera!
