Romantic Wedding Day at The Crawford

Mary and Matt’s September wedding day at The Crawford in Naperville was the kind of day that reminds me why I love what I do. Beautiful light, meaningful moments, all the joy, and an amazing couple made this day truly unforgettable.

The Crawford is such a beautiful venue, filled with natural light and a layout that feels both modern and welcoming. From the moment I arrived, there was an excited energy in the air that set the tone for the entire day!

One of my favorite parts of the day was sneaking away with Mary and Matt for bride and groom photos at Herrick Lake. The light was dreamy, the setting was perfect, and these two were so in the moment. It made for some truly beautiful portraits!

Their ceremony was filled with emotion and made even more special with live music, which always adds such a beautiful layer to the moment. It was the perfect way for Mary and Matt to begin their marriage.

Cocktail hour brought one of the sweetest surprises of the day when their pups joined the celebration. Watching guests light up as the dogs made their appearance was the best thing. Those photos are absolute must-sees as you keep reading this blog post and scrolling through the photos!

The reception kicked off with energetic entrances and a special tribute dance honoring Mary’s parents that officially opened the dance floor. From there, the celebration never slowed down. Speeches from Matt’s dad, Mary’s dad, the maid of honor, and best man were the perfect mix of funny and heartfelt. They kept everyone laughing and tearing up all at once!

The Crawford delivered in every way, from an amazing dessert spread to a cool getting ready space for the guys with big screen TVs and a pool table. It was the perfect place to relax before the day began. I hope to be back here soon!

Once the dance floor opened, the energy was contagious with the most lively dance floor! Mary and Matt’s people showed up ready to celebrate, and it was such a joy to capture every moment of it.
