Summer Morton Arboretum Wedding Day

There are wedding days that feel extra special from the moment they begin, and Nicolette and David’s wedding was one of them. After photographing their beautiful winter engagement session at the Morton Arboretum, it felt like such a full circle moment to return for their wedding day.

We started the day at St. Margaret Mary Church, where Nicolette and David shared a ceremony filled with love, joy, and so many heartfelt moments. From the way their families beamed at them to the quiet, emotional glances they exchanged during the vows, it was clear how deeply supported and cherished they are. They are an amazing couple with an elegance that feels both timeless and effortless and that truly carried into every part of the day.

After the ceremony, we made our way to the Morton Arboretum for their reception. This was my first time photographing in the new Firefly Pavilion, and it is truly breathtaking. The space is open and airy with sweeping views of the gardens and surrounding trees. It created the perfect backdrop for a warm summer celebration surrounded by nature!

One of my favorite moments of the entire day was Nicolette’s dance with her mom. They shared such a sweet and emotional connection on the dance floor. I found myself smiling while trying not to tear up behind my camera! Another moment I adored was watching Nicolette’s grandpa make his way to the dance floor. Everyone lit up when he began dancing… It was one of those memories that will stay with me for a long time!

As the sun set, the Firefly Pavilion glowed softly and the whole reception turned into the most joyful, fun celebration. Friends and family filled the dance floor, the laughter was nonstop, and the love for these two was unmistakable.

Nicolette and David, your wedding day was a dream! Thank you for trusting me to capture the moments that mean the most to you. It was an honor to document your Morton Arboretum wedding day, and I cannot wait to see where marriage takes you!
