Wilder Mansion Wedding

Elmhurst, Illinois

Jillian and Ryan’s Wilder Mansion wedding was the most joyful, Christ-centered celebration! This historic mansion nestled in the Chicago suburb was a perfect venue for their family and friends to gather as this sweet couple became husband and wife.

I met Jillian and Ryan briefly at Jessica and Collin’s wedding last fall. When they contacted me about booking their wedding, I was so honored. We met up on a chilly day for their engagement session at St James Farm, where we got to know each other. They were so sweet and fun to work with, and we got a some of my favorite engagement photos with them. You can see those photos here.

The wedding day started off in the bridal suite at the mansion, where Jillian, her mom, and her bridesmaids were all getting ready. My favorite memory from this part of the day is when I took Jillian and her mom into another room for Jillian to get into her dress. As soon as they got into the quiet of the room, they grabbed hands and both started jumping up and down!

Jillian got into her dress and took our breath away as she floated down the mansion staircase to the delight of her bridesmaids. She looked like she belonged in a bridal magazine. The pastor came in at that time and said a few words and they all prayed over Jillian before the ceremony began. The guys did the same with Ryan, and those were such precious moments reminding everyone that the real celebration here was a Christ-centered marriage.

Everyone made their way to the ceremony gardens where Ryan made us all cry as we witnessed him seeing Jillian for the first time walking down the aisle about to become his wife. The ceremony was beautiful with worship music, vows, and much celebration as the newlyweds were announced husband and wife.

The celebration moved inside the mansion for dinner, sweet toasts from the maid of honor and best man, and DANCING! These guys lit up the dance floor, and you have to check out the mother-son dance. What a blast!

Jillian and Ryan, I pray you always look back on this day with joy and love and remember how much all of these people love you. Many blessings on your marriage!
