I met up with Laura and Jacob in early November for their fall museum campus engagement session. I love this location because you can get such a wide variety of looks with the museums, gardens, lake and the Chicago skyline. We could have stood there chatting for hours about their jobs, proposal, and wedding plans. But, we had work to do, so we talked while we walked and stopped at all the best locations.
You can get to know them below and see some of our favorite photos from our time together.
Even though Laura is not a big fan of surprises, Jacob told Laura to get dressed up because he was taking her out for a surprise dinner at The Melting Pot. During dessert, Jacob quietly asked Laura to marry him. Laura says it was just perfect, especially since she doesn’t like being the center of attention and making a scene.
They love going out for dinner and to a concert or a sporting event, especially the Hawks and Bears. They also enjoy escape rooms and going on fun adventures together.
They are excited to have all of their friends and family in the same room! Oh, and also sneaking in a few of their favorite rock songs on the playlist.
Aren’t they the cutest?! Laura and Jacob, I can’t wait until your wedding at Independence Grove later this year.
