Marcella and Mark were so fun at their fall Cantigny Park engagement session. I always love photographing at this location, but it is especially dreamy during the fall. All of the gardens, trees, lake, buildings and fall colors were the perfect backdrop for this adorable couple. I’m so happy to share a little about them and their photos.
Even though they attended the same high school and had a ton of mutual friends, they didn’t meet until they attended a bonfire at a mutual friend’s house. They talked now and then, but became very close friends the following summer. After an informal date at Chipotle and a more formal date to Six Flags Great America, they became a couple and, as Marcella says, “It has been history ever since.”
Marcella had wanted to go to Napa for her 25th birthday, but that trip got postponed for obvious reasons to Memorial Day weekend of 2021 as travel restrictions opened up. Mark planned a full day event at a Tuscan castle winery in Napa Valley, complete with a tour. The tour concluded with a trip up the north tower, where Mark had arranged for flower petals and a bottle of champagne to be waiting. He proposed on the tower overlooking the valley. How romantic?!
Their favorite was probably a spontaneous trip to Disney World to be there for New Year’s Eve. (These are MY kind of people!)
Marcella and Mark, I cannot wait to celebrate with the two of you in November!
