Choosing a location for Chicago engagement photography can be quite the task. There are so many amazing locations in the city that make perfect backdrops for a couple in love.
For Rachel & Steve’s session, we decided on the Nature Boardwalk at Lincoln Park to start. They loved the option of having trees, tall grasses and the bridge over the south pond. We walked around there for a while, and then headed over to the museum campus to finish up. The museum campus is one of my favorite locations because of the architecture of the museums, the beautiful landscaping, and, of course, my personal favorite, the walk along Lake Michigan.
Rachel and Steve contacting me early in the year to book their wedding with me. I was so excited to meet them, and we set up their engagement session for early spring. Well, we all know what happened in early spring. Coronavirus stay-at-home orders and subsequent shut downs forced us to reschedule their session several times. We finally got to meet up this summer to get their session in before their September wedding!
I can’t wait to photograph their wedding next month at their elegant outdoor wedding on the farm of Rachel’s grandma. I’m loving these outdoor, backyard wedding this year. Rachel has been telling me all about her vision for the day! It’s going to be a beautiful day that I can’t wait to share.
