Cait and Ryan’s Lincoln Park Conservatory engagement session was one for the books! While we were a little disappointed that the wind chill was below zero that day, forcing us inside for most of the session, I love how the conservatory make the perfect backdrop for their photos.
She was living in Colorado. He was living in Chicago. They met at a bar in Nashville! He was at a bachelor party; she was at a birthday party. She went to go buy a couple of shots for herself and her friend. When the bartender attempted to charge her $65 for two shots (WHAT?!), Ryan stepped in and set the bartender straight. After that night, they talked every night for a month straight. She went to visit him in Chicago when they became official. 8 months later, she had packed up her things and moved to Chicago.
We started their session at the conservatory, where we witnessed a couple get engaged (and then they very quickly got kicked out for not having a photography permit). I enjoyed photographing there for the first time, and much enjoyed some green when Illinois is pretty bland this time of year. We did head outside for a couple of 2-3 minute rounds of photos, because the snow and light were beautiful. Ryan and Caitlin were super fun to be around! I love that they brought their sports jerseys for a few fun photos in the snow before we headed out.
