Andres and Estefania’s Montrose Beach engagement session was the start of a very busy engagement season and boy was it a good one! These two met on the beach playing soccer 8 years ago. It was fitting that they wanted to have their engagement photos there. We started their session at the Montrose Point Bird Sanctuary. This place is a true gem in the city. Walking through the trees and wildflowers, you don’t feel like you are in the city at all. After a short walk around the sanctuary, we came to an opening that put us right along the lake with the Chicago skyline behind them. While we weren’t able to access the beach area because of nesting birds, we had a great time taking photos along the lakefront.
Andres and Estefania met playing soccer at Montrose Beach. After that, they started running into each other at concerts and other events. Coincidence? I think not! Shortly after, they started dating. These two share a love of adventure and traveling. They took their first trip together after dating for six months, and have since done road trips, backpacking trips, resort stays and even hiking in Colombia. Andres is a sushi chef, so he keeps a pretty busy schedule. Estefania is a pediatric nurse, so she’s equally as busy. When they get time off together, they just love exploring and trying new things.
Andres proposed to Estefania by taking her back to the same place where they took their first trip. Cue the “awww”.
