Brianna and Tom brought their adorable dog Brutus to their Four Rivers engagement session. I loved getting to know this sweet couple and hear all about their big wedding day plans, but I have to be honest. Brutus kind of stole the show.
Brianna and Tom are high school sweethearts. They’ve been together for nine years, and about half of those were spent long distance. They’ve learned how to cherish their time together and to soak up every moment. Tom proposed to Brianna during her senior year of college on a Chicago sunset cruise. Brianna says she suspected something was up leading up to the proposal, but Tom kept trying to steer her off course.
As we walked around the forest preserve near the Four Rivers Environmental Educational Center, my own family was off walking around finding things like snakes and giant spiders. But the only critter I saw was sweet Brutus. He was so sweet and gentle, and came with his own personal assistant to keep him busy and wipe his slobber. Thanks to Tom’s brother for that! 🙂
Tom and Brianna are getting married at Cog Hill Country Club in Lemont, Illinois. Their venue is an “old world” style clubhouse with massive beams, tall ceilings and a beautiful stone fireplace. I can’t wait to photograph their special day. I know Brutus isn’t too keen on crowds of people, but it’d be really cool if he could make an appearance. Wouldn’t he make a great ring bearer?
