Reggie and Sarah’s downtown Indianapolis engagement session has been on my calendar for quite some time. We were very excited to use downtown Indianapolis and the Canal Walk for some beautiful photos just a few weeks before their upcoming May wedding. They even planned their bachelor/bachelorette parties to make a weekend in Indy out of it.

A few days before their scheduled session, we started watching the weather forecast. It was likely going to be a very rainy day. Since they already had other plans in the city that weekend, there wasn’t really an option to reschedule. So, we decided to be adventurous and go for it!

I met up with them near the capitol, knowing that there was some covered areas that would still be very pretty and keep them dry as long as possible. I love how these turned out with their classy outfits and the pillars. We even got in a few photographs out from under the pillars while the rain was somewhat light. I’m so glad we decided to just go for it! Shortly after we finished up and started walking back to our cars, the wind picked up and the rain started coming down pretty hard. We didn’t make it to the canal walk, but I love how these turned out!

I can’t wait for their wedding day next month.
