I met up with Molly and Joey at the Engineering Quad on the University of Illinois campus where Joey graduated from college. There were a lot of great places around campus that they wanted to visit, either during their engagement session or their upcoming wedding. I loved walking around this beautiful campus getting to know these two.

Molly and Joey met when Joey was working as a paramedic and Molly was working as an ER nurse in the same town. They’ve been together since 2011. When I asked Molly to tell me about Joey, she said, “He just gets me, we have fun and laugh together. He’s my best friend.” These two love helping others, which is how they ended up meeting in the first place. It’s clear that Joey has a romantic side, because he planned an entire trip to Jamaica to propose to Molly. He even made up a game where Molly had to answer questions to get the coordinates of where they were going on this trip. How cute is that?! They had a wonderful time in Jamaica and he proposed on the last day. Molly said yes, of course, and the planning began.

Molly says that their favorite things to do together are snuggle, travel and go to the lake house and hang out on their boat. That sounds perfect to me!

I’m so excited for their upcoming wedding. These two Illini fans are getting married at the Arboretum on the campus of U of I and their reception is at the Colonnades Club at Memorial Stadium! I’m sure we will have a few stops at some other campus locations as well during our portrait time, which is going to end on the football field.
