Irvington Park Indianapolis Engagement Session

Jason and Mandy’s Irvington Park engagement session in this historic area of Indianapolis, Indiana was just beautiful. I loved exploring this part of Indy that they call home, because it was rich with texture and character and so much personality. I can see why they love it so much.

How They Met

Jason and Mandy met a few years ago online. Mandy recalls being immediately interested in him because of his profile photo in a full Teen Wolf costume. Jason remembers reading carefully through Mandy’s profile and thinking that she was funny and they might be a good match. They went on a couple of dates, but they didn’t really hit it off at the time.

They remained Facebook friends and after a couple of years and several times crossing paths online, they decided to try again. This time, they really hit it off and have been inseparable ever since.

When They “KNEW”

Mandy says that after about three months of dating, she knew that if Jason asked her to marry him that she would say ‘yes’. Jason says he doesn’t really remember a specific time, just that it happened over time.

The Proposal

Mandy moved in with Jason into a tiny house outside of Indianapolis after a few months of dating. One night after dinner at one of their favorite Mexican restaurants, Jason proposed in their front yard. He said he wanted them to remember their beginning. How sweet is that?

What They Love to Do

Eat Mexican food, spend time with their dogs, cuddle on the couch watching Netflix, and walking around their neighborhood.

The Engagement Session

I met Jason and Mandy at their home and then we headed out at some of their favorite spots around the neighborhood. After a quick Starbucks stop to grab a drink and to change their clothes, we headed to the nearby Ellenberger Park to end out the night. What I loved about these two is that even though they told me they were awkward, you could tell how comfortable they are with each other. They were sweet, playful and romantic. It didn’t take them long to forget about being in front of my camera.
