Holyn contacted me through Facebook while she was visiting Chicago with her mom. She had the awesome idea to try to get her senior pictures taken in the city before heading back to her home in West Virginia. I was so excited that she found me and reached out to see if I could squeeze her in.
I met up with Holyn and her mom near the Lincoln Park Conservatory. We had a short amount of time before sunset and she wanted to hit the conservatory, Lincoln Park Nature Boardwalk and the beach, so we were hustling! I loved hanging out with these two. Holyn looks so much like her mom that I could have picked them out of a crowd. We walked around Chicago talking about their family and what Holyn likes to do in her spare time.
At one point during our time together, some random guy on the bridge at the boardwalk just jumped in and took a picture with her! It was equal parts funny and creepy. 🙂 You’ll see that photo in the mix below. You just never know what’s going to happen! We arrived at the beach with just a few minutes to shoot until we lost the sun. Holyn wanted to get pictures of the beautiful blue water of Lake Michigan, so we were excited that the beach was pretty quiet that time of the night.
Holyn LOVES to travel, which I love about her! She’s been to Europe twice, Honduras, Africa, Mexico, Aruba and the Bahamas. I’m going to sneak in her suitcase next time she leaves the states. Haha! Holyn wants to study abroad in Spain during college and is currently learning Spanish and teaching herself French. She also hopes to work as an au pair in Spain and France as she loves kids! When she’s not studying for her honors and college classes, she loves to babysit, manages a Healthy Living Club and has even started her own business, Happy Lips with Holyn. She also loves hanging out with her family, friends and boyfriend, oftentimes going to football or basketball games to support her school and boyfriend. She is also the co-captain of the dance team and teaches dance locally. Holyn says her little brother is her best friend. Cue the “awwwwwww”!
Holyn’s parents are both doctors, so it’s no surprise that this girl is one smart cookie! While she’s not sure where she will go to college or exactly what she wants to study, I’m sure she will be a huge success! This girl has a lot of ideas, including architecture & design, medicine, teaching, blogging, or a dietician!
Holyn hangs out at a local coffee shop where she takes an online Spanish class. In her spare time, she likes to snuggle up in bed and watch Netflix.
Fun fact: Every year in October, Holyn dyes a section of her hair for breast cancer month in honor of her mother, a breast cancer survivor.
