Rachel & James won a free engagement session with me last fall! I was so excited to photograph them at Buckley Homestead outside of Lowell, Indiana. After rescheduling their session a few times due to inclement weather, we ended up with a gorgeous spring evening.

Rachel and James have such a fun, playful relationship. The way they laughed with each other during their session just made me smile. As we began their session, I could tell they were a little nervous. Rachel mentioned that neither of them had ever been photographed professionally. However, once we started, they were absolute naturals! They seemed so comfortable in front of my camera because they were just focused on each other.

Toward the end of the session, I showed Rachel one of the pictures on the back of my camera. She was so sweet! She said, “I never knew we could look like that!” Rachel said that her whole wedding process up to that point has felt like a fairytale. I’m so glad I could be a small part of that.
