This couple gets the sweetest couple of the year award. You can see it in their pictures right?! Do you remember their engagement session from the spring and their winter session? I have enjoyed working with them so much this past year and was thrilled to work with their family and friends on their wedding day.
Alex & Bekah met at Chicago Bears camp on the campus of Olivet Nazarene University, where they were both volunteering. Go Bears! Both of them attended the university where Alex just graduated and Bekah begins her senior year this fall.
I met Bekah on her wedding day Giavanni’s Salon. This place was full of wonderful, friendly stylists that pampered Bekah, her mom and her bridesmaids. The girls brought in breakfast and juice and were very relaxed as they started their day. Bekah started her day the way every bride should . . . with Starbucks, of course. Check out Bekah’s ring! And her hair style looked perfect on her.
We went from the salon to the house where Bekah grew up for her to get into her dress. That dress! It was an elegant, vintage style dress with a gorgeous train.
The weather on their wedding day could not have been better. It wasn’t raining, which was rare this June in Illinois, and it was in the high 70s! Just beautiful for an outdoor wedding at Kankakee River State Park. Alex was waiting for his first look when we arrived at the wedding site. Some of the sweetest moments of the day were the little moments with Bekah and her parents, and Bekah with her sisters. So much love!
How sweet is this little flower girl?? Every little girl dreams of being as beautiful as Bekah on her wedding day!
After a lovely ceremony, we headed to the college campus Warming House for their reception. I had such a great time talking with and getting to know this couple’s family and friends. Everyone we met was so welcoming and joyful! You could tell they all loved Alex & Bekah very much and were happy to spend the day celebrating the blessed union. After a delicious lunch and bubble send off, the happy couple was on their way to Jamaica for their honeymoon! Alex & Bekah, I pray that God blesses your marriage and you have many years together serving him in your marriage.
