connect 2016 couples retreat {couples in business}
You guys! I am so pumped about this! I just registered the hubs and I for this amazing retreat for couples in business!! We haven’t been away together for more than a night since our honeymoon. Now, 14 years and 5 kiddos later, IT’S TIME! Hey! I just realized this will be just in time to celebrate our 15 year anniversary!!!
You all might be thinking, “Ummm, I didn’t know Karen and Adam were in business together.” Well, we aren’t technically. . . yet! And, who knows, maybe we won’t ever be out there shooting weddings full time together. But, Adam is my biggest supporter and he wants to learn all about the business. I hope someday he gets to come along to weddings and shoot with me. All I know is that when one spouse owns a business, it affects the other spouse and the rest of the family. So whether he is ever technically my partner, he’s still my partner! He’s stuck with me 🙂 My business is a part of me, and he gets all of me, so he gets to be a part of my business, too!
So, sorry honey, I’m dragging you on a plane (he doesn’t like to fly) and we are heading south next May! I can’t wait to spend the week relaxing, learning, playing together, and getting to know other like-minded couples.
Where are we headed?
The Connect Retreat is a marriage retreat for couples in business together. This retreat is unique in that it is designed to help couples grow together and in their business with a Biblical perspective. That’s important to me! I don’t want to do anything in my business that is not honoring God and his design for me and my family. This retreat is going to change our lives. I first heard about it when I started following Zach & Jody Gray. They are photographers that are in business together, now equipping other couples in the industry. I got to hear them at the Reset Conference in Champaign, IL last month and I just love their genuine love for each other, their little guy and others in business. They are doing business together well, and I can’t wait to learn from them. Of course, there are so many other amazing couples to learn from.
